... From Our Office to Local Children: Cash for Kids Gift Tag Tree Initiative

This festive season, Borderbrite was proud to support Mission Christmas with Cash for Kids Cumbria & South West Scotland once again. Thanks to the generosity of our amazing team, our office Gift Tag Tree was filled with presents — and we also made a cash donation to help bring extra Christmas magic to children across our local community.

It was the first time we ran our Christmas campaign using a Gift Tag Tree, and the results were incredible. Staff loved the initiative, and thanks to everyone’s participation, we collected more gifts than ever before!

What is the Gift Tag Tree?

Our Gift Tag Tree was set up in the office, with each tag representing a real child and a gift they wished for this Christmas. Staff could pick a tag, choose a gift that suited them, and return it unwrapped by the campaign deadline. This approach made it easy, meaningful, and personal — allowing everyone to contribute in a way that worked for them.

The response from our team was overwhelming. Many colleagues shared how much they enjoyed choosing gifts for a child they could imagine opening it on Christmas morning, making the giving experience even more special.

Record-Breaking Year

Thanks to the enthusiasm of the Borderbrite team, we collected more gifts than ever this year. Every contribution, whether a small toy or something larger, helped bring a smile to a child’s face.

We also made a cash donation to support Cash for Kids in ensuring more children could enjoy a magical Christmas.

Collecting and Delivering the Joy

The lovely Sara Oldham from Cash for Kids visited the Borderbrite office to collect all the gifts. Our team helped load the Cash for Kids van with presents right here at the office, ready to be delivered to children across Cumbria and South West Scotland.

It was a proud moment for everyone involved — seeing the van filled with gifts reminded us just how much a little kindness can impact our community.

Why We Love Giving Back

For many children, the gifts from this campaign are the only presents they will receive at Christmas. Moments like these show that small acts of kindness can make a huge difference.
